Eshin, Myorei, Simon, Chris Martin and Kumiko were the first residents of the new centre. Work started Aug 27 on removing the large chimney to allow more inside space. Several sangha members loaned tools and gear. The chimney removal went faster than expected and the residents were helped by a few sangha members who had time.

During this week the outside was pressure washed. The original colour appeared in good condition. This meant no outside painting is needed.
